Bayou Wildlife Zoo

When you visit Bayou Wildlife Zoo you will experience a safari-like adventure throughout the park. Nestled off of 517 in Alvin, TX Bayou Wildlife Zoo is an experience like no other in and around the Houston area. You can see and feed animals from all over the world up close as they roam freely across 80 acres of natural habitat. 

The zoo animals come from 19 different countries including places in Africa, Asia, Australia, and North and South America. New animals are added periodically.

History

The Bayou Wildlife Zoo began as an exotic game ranch purchased by Clint Wolston and it housed 170 animals and birds of 36 species. The owner Clint Wolston even named his animals.

The Zoo is actively on the market at $6 million. The headlines read “buy your own zoo,” on many major news outlets.

Exhibits:

Tram Rides: Specialty built trams take guests around the park for a 45 ride where they can encounter the animals up close like no other zoo around. The trams are equipped for up to 30 guests.

Petting Zoo: The petting zoo is home to all types of animals including pigs, goats and deer. Guest can walk right in and pet the animals and also feed them.

Pony rides: kids 90 lbs and under will get one pony ride with cost of admission into the park. A staff member will lead your child on a tame, pony on a three-minute walk around the fence of the riding ring.

Admission and Hours:

March 1-August 1- the park is open daily 10-4pm.

Admission is $20 plus tax for adults and $10 plus tax for children 2-11

Children under 2 are free.
The Park ONLY accepts cash or checks NO CREDIT CARDS

Be sure to pack a lunch because there are plenty of picnic tables to enjoy a picnic.
